The other day I was sitting outside on the porch sweating and dying from the texas heat. When I heard a train. It gave me a familiar chill and reminded me of christmas eve. As a child I would lay in bed and hope that the polar express would stop at my apartment 'maybe this year' i would say. I could just see it ramming throught the metal fence that surrounded my complex , the lights would shine through the window, blinding me. the sound of a train is best in the cold of winter, it brings warmth to my heart but at the same time im overwhelmed with sadness because the polar express never came...and it never will.

I suddenly have the urge to paint again. The desire comes and goes. But a great idea only comes to mind when im way to busy to work on a painting.
